It makes sense that Alcest and Deafheaven would find each other to tour the US, both infusing elements of modern black metal and shoegaze into intriguing amalgamations of sound that have been exciting fans and critics for years. Deafheaven's tour with Alcest started this past Monday and runs through March 31st, wiith one last US stop as special guests on April 1st with fellow Deathwish, Inc bands Converge and Loma Prieta at The Met in Pawtucket, RI. From there, Deafheaven will get right on a plane back to Europe for April and May playing direct support on a-6 week European tour with Russian Circles - dates are below.

As Deafheaven's current, consistently sold-out European tour with Heirophant comes to a close, the band is excited to announce another European jaunt for later this Spring, this time supporting post-rock/experimental trio Russian Circles. The 5+ week tour will bring Deafheaven all across Europe and the UK, hitting almost every nook and cranny on the continent, and will span fro April 5th through May 15th.

Chicago's premiere three piece instrumental heavy rock band, Russian Circles treated Philly fans to an intimate performance with their intricate musical movements infusing an endless labyrinth of guitar-effect-soundscapes to captivate open minds. These ambient segments segue and sit on top of dense and driving drum foundations executed with sustaining emotion and precision that peaks into explosions of heavy riffing and metal-infused bursts. San Francisco’s Deafheaven just announced they’ll be touring North America this November with experimental post-rock trio Russian Circles. George Clarke, Deafheaven’s vocalist, commented, “Very excited to release the news of this tour. Looking forward to being on the road again, especially with a band who we all really respect and enjoy. It's a perfect way to end what has been a great year. See you then."
