On August 10th, 2012, This Is Hardcore Fest 2012 migrated from The Union Transfer to the premises of Philadelphia's Electric Factory where it would reside for the next three days. One of our favorite bands, Belgium's Oathbreaker, are kicking off a US East Coast tour on August 5th at the Waterfront Tavern in Holyoke, MA with Pathology and Fit For An Autopsy. The tour will make a spotlight performance at renowned Philadelphia hardcore festival, This Is Hardcore Fest on August 10th, before concluding in New Brunswick, NJ at Ray Cappo's Cantina with Bible Thumper, Old Wounds, and Cop Problem on August 15th.

Vans Warped Tour 2012 made its usual "Philadelphia" stop at Camden, NJ's Susquehanna Bank Center with over 100 bands spanning countless scores of genres and sub genres of popular music. Skateboarders, vendors, and all of the usual extra-curricular activities fans have come to expect over the past 18 years were laid out in smorgasbord fashion. Hard to believe the Vans Warped Tour is now older than a significant portion of its fan-base.

It is with great disappointment that we have to make this announcement.
With the recent departure of Voivod from the Shockwave Festival lineup. As well as low advance ticket sales we have decided to pull the plug on the Shockwave Festival."

Shockwave 2012 Tour adds Denver date to list of cities to be bludgeoned by this eclectic metal tour featuring Fear Factory, Cattle Decapitation, Voivod, Misery Index, Dirge Within, Havok, Last Chance to Reason, Vildhjarta, The Browning, and Forged in Flame.

This Is Hardcore founder, Joe "Hardcore" McKay along with fellow photographers and artists, have combined forces to put together a Kickstart campaign that launches tomorrow. This campaign will help fund a new photo book project documenting the evolution of Philadelphia's now world-renowned music festival that showcases hardcore and punk bands from all corners of the globe and has been doing so since 2006.
