Camp Bisco Ten began for me at 6:30am Thursday July 7th, 2011. I awoke to a gorgeous sunrise over Mariaville Lake, which found its normally peaceful road activity saturated with bumper to bumper hardcore electronic and jam music fans. I stepped out of the cramped backseat of a Volvo to stretch and was met with the familiar greetings of what most of us within this particular music scene would call "family." Somehow hearing "Good Morning" from 20 different strangers within a half hour of waking up will always make for a great day, which I would find out, foreshadowed an even more amazing weekend.
As cars piled through the ...

At the epicenter of this counter-culture camping crusade, lies a virtual holy grail of electronic jam band glory. Six sets played out by The Disco Biscuits, who have recently been turning up the heat during the beginnings of their summer tour. Long time fans of The Disco Biscuits have been reporting great experiences and set-lists from ...

For those not familiar with the hardcore scene of the Midwest, allow us to introduce you to one of the raddest underground annual fests in the US; Dude Fest. Since its inception in 2003, Indianapolis's Dude Fest has featured over 400 bands with an emphasis on quality underground acts. With no ambitions of becoming another corporate turd, with cookie-cutter metal acts and the influence of washed-up booking agents, the annual event maintains its integrity due to the efforts of Dude Fest founder and organizer, Derek Black. We recently caught up with Mr. Black for the inside skinny on the fest and what fans can expect ...

The festival will feature Japanese film, music, and art, and will extend to include local performers and artists. PJAM is organized by a collective of Philadelphia-based Japan enthusiasts.
But first, PJAM took us to Hell for a good cause on Friday, May 13th with Yoshiro Nishimura's newest splatter epic, Helldriver at the beautiful Prince Music Theater. An over the top opus of outlandish gore and side splitting slapstick humor, Helldriver continues the tradition of Nishimura's previous ...
