Our nation's capitol's most noxious henchmen, ILSA, have delivered a new video for "120 Days."
Aurally merging filthy, downtuned hardcore with mid-paced deathcrust, and visually meshing their deep-rooted fascination with the occult, violence and all forms of debauchery with brutal recent live footage in the new video, "120 Days" is far from a new song. The virulent hymn is culled from the band's sophomore LP, Tutti il Colori del Buio, which was followed by multiple other recordings since. The video was created not in homage to the album but in support of its impending reissue as A389 Recordings -- who delivered the ILSA's ...

Based out of Cleveland, Ohio, with a wide base of roots feeding deep into their city's underbelly, the members of Youth Forgotten culminate in this new outfit with a unified sense of keeping the movement alive with the utmost urgency.
While overall retaining dark hardcore/metal outfit tactics to spread their message, an influx of thrash metal dynamics and street punk energy coalesce in fueling the anthems Youth Forgotten deploys. Genre boundaries and inner-scene platforms are eradicated as this quintet relentlessly dispatches song after song of energized, enraged fury, while lyrically the outfit speaks from an equally grounded, forward-thinking mentality. SUNN O)))'s most recent studio album, 2009's Monoliths and Dimensions, and Ulver's 2013 album, Messe I.X-VI.X,found both evolving and longstanding groups venturing into the world of acoustic arrangement and contemporary orchestration. Besides arriving at this seeming parallel in vision, the pair's long standing camaraderie was initiated during SUNN O)))'s 2003's White1 sessions with the track "CutWOODED" which was produced by Ulver, in tribute to deceased film director Ed Wood.
Ulver's decision to emerge from the shadows into live performance, in 2009, unveiled a new facet of showmanship and presentation which took their audiences to an unforeseen level. SUNN O)))'s presence has continuously been felt -- ...

Earsplit's new label faction, The Compound, today exposes the entire new Flies EP, from Milwaukee's spiteful sect, Enabler, the first in an upcoming line of releases from killer underground acts who prefer to skulk in the shadows rather than bathe in the spotlight.
Enabler's brutalizing attack, seemingly constantly drowning in a sea of morose, melodic riffage with no help in sight, is at its most stripped-down and primed on Flies, the EP taking the punk-fueled, metallic anguish the horde has championed for years into the future with another infectious slab of downbeat misery whose pungent attributes will continue to draw the swarms to the flames. Today, all six angst/aggression-ridden ...
