Baltimore based, D-beat punks Old Lines have officially announced they’ve signed with Huntington Beach independent label No Sleep Records. The band is currently writing their next record, which should be out later this year.
Old Lines was formed in 2010 by ex-Pulling Teeth/Ruiner guitarist Mitch Roemer and drummer Jake Berry, who after sifting through a slew of musicians brought in Pat Martin on bass and Matt Taylor on vocals. California tyrants, Nails, confirm a new set of West Coast shows in a headlining run at the beginning of May.
This new five-date Nails bombing run will see Oxnard's hardcore/crust warriors headlining all dates, with support from Seattle powerviolence duo, Iron Lung, Olympia's putrid death metal horde, Bone Sickness, and Southern Cali-based death act, Skinfather. Modern-day kings of powerviolence, forerunners of "Satanic Straightedge", Los Angeles' mighty Antichrist Demoncore has officially teamed up with Melotov Records for the release of its debut full-length LP. Also popularly known as ACxDC, the band enters LA's The Pit Studio next week with producer Taylor Young (Xibalba, Twitching Tongues) to record the as-yet-untitled album.

Nadezhda Tolokonnikova of now infamous Russian punk activist group, Pussy Riot, has today been released from a Krasnoyarsk prison camp after having served almost two years in prison for "hooliganism" following a performance and small peaceful protest in a Russian Church. She is the last of the imprisoned Pussy Riot members to be freed as Maria Alyokhina was freed earlier today and Yekaterina Samutsevich having been freed in October of last year following an appeal.
