Noise Grind: D.O.C. hit back with new Parched Dredge 7″
Washington D.C. grind freaks, D.O.C. (Disciples Of Christ) have just dropped a brand new 7″ on Iron Lung Records that is streaming in full for your listening pleasure below the fold. Engineered and mixed by Kevin Bernsten at his Developing Nations Studio in Baltimore, Parched Dredge packs a wallop of the high-octane, hardcore-infused, noisy grind that we’ve come to love from D.O.C. If those blasts sound too legit to quit, it’s for good reason. Drummer Chris Moore (Coke Bust, Repulsion, ex-Magrudergrind) who has single-handedly raised the bar for the one-foot blast technique in recent years, lends an authentic brutality to the music’s underbelly. And let us not dismiss the ominous, noise-saturated riffs and blistering vocal assaults caked throughout this fantastic slab of hatred. “500 copies on black vinyl housed in a 6 panel foldout sleeve adorned with with painstaking artwork by Nolan.” Get on it.
