Coliseum recently ripped through Philadelphia’s Kung Fu Necktie venue for an intimate show with Red Hare, Snake Road, and Faking. Coliseum is currently supporting a fresh album, Sister Faith, on Temporary Residence which has seen rave reviews from critics and fans alike. A slight departure from the more hardcore-punk influenced studio efforts, Sister Faith explores some new sonic territory in the rock spectrum that has re-ignited a strong buzz for these Louisville mainstays.
We had the pleasure of catching up with Coliseum for an exclusive interview as lead vocalist Ryan Patterson shared the story behind the making of the record and more. At this particular performance, Coliseum put in an inspired set that charged up the already rowdy crowd.
This show also marked Red Hare‘s second performance ever as they begin to support an eight-song debut, Nites of Midnite on Dischord Records. Red Hare is a new group featuring Shawn Brown, Jason Farrell, and Dave Eight, formerly of Swiz and Sweetbelly Freakdown. The band is rounded off by drummer Joe Gorelick (Garden Variety, Bluetip, Retisonic).
