Doomriders celebrated 10 years as band with a recent South Philly performance at the Boot & Saddle venue along with tour-mates Summoner and support by Philly’s own Sunburster and Pale Shelter.
For the uninitiated, Doomriders features Nate Newton (Converge, Old Man Gloom) on guitar and vocals, with Jeb Riley (There Were Wires, Disappearer) handling bass, Chris Pupecki (Wormwood) manning guitar, and latest addition, Q, on drums. Doomriders have maintained a prolific output during the last decade amid the members’ many musical endeavors. Three full-lengths on Deathwish, including 2014’s Grand Blood, and splits with such heavyweights as Disfear, Coliseum, and Boris are punctuated by a punishing live output.
A lot of talent on this particular South Philly showcase. We’ve included listening samples, links for purchase, and further investigation below of all of the guilty parties. We advise you dig deeper and support the bands if you like what you hear.
