With impassioned and politically influenced lyrics that sit on top of a barrage of meaty d-beat laden riffs and wailing bends, fans of His Hero Is Gone, Tragedy, and Disfear should find some familiar sonic territory here. Having spent the better part of the last decade refining and strengthening their collective musical scores with releases through Profane Existence and Crimes Against Humanity, these cats are no strangers to the Midwest underground. Wartorn’s members also do time in bands such as Dresden, Remission, and Words That Burn.
Certainly a band to keep an eye on 2013, Wartorn will be hitting the road in April for a blast of Midwest dates and notable one-offs including Forward Ohio Fest with label-mates Masakari and others.
