Comprised of current and former members of hardcore punk mainstays Dropdead, Daughters, Soul Control, and more, Fucking Invincible is one of the most promising aggressive units to crash the scene in the last five years without question. For those just tuning in, the band’s last EP, Downtown Is Dead, was one of our top picks of 2013.
Irate, powerful, and poignant, Fucking Invincible is modern hardcore punk at it’s finest. No frills, just furious and unrelenting riff-age that breaks into powerviolence territory at will and is riddled with moody breakdowns that pave the way for a hearty plastering of unhinged vocal assaults. The sense of urgency is ever-present as Fucking Invincible breath fresh air into a genre that is plagued by less-than-notable ‘peers’. Recorded by Will Killingsworth in mid-March at Dead Air Studios in Western Massachusetts, the album is sure to be list topper for 2014.
