Winnipeg’s KEN Mode ripped through Philly’s North Star venue along with Philly’s own heavy hitters, Bardus as BTS‘s Dante Torrieri was on hand to deliver a fresh set of exclusive photos for your viewing pleasure below. This show came as KEN Mode announced plans to record their new album, titled Success, with renowned engineer Steve Albini (Nirvana, Neurosis, Helmet). Albini and the band convened on November 23rd at Winnipeg’s Empire Recording to start the process. The album is slated to be mastered by Bob Weston at Chicago Mastering Service.
Success will feature art by the band’s longtime artist Randy Ortiz, and feature guest performances by Eugene Robinson (OXBOW) and members of Full Of Hell. Stream KEN Mode‘s current album on Season Of Mist, titled Entrench, below the fold.
This past July, the editors of MetalSucks hand-picked five unsigned bands from an open application process to record with producer Will Putney at Converse Rubber Tracks in Brooklyn, NY, Converse’s completely free, state-of-the-art recording studio. Philly’s Bardus was one of the five chosen with Bardus seeing an August debut on MetalSucks of the new track, ‘Monolith’. Be sure to scope that and more via the links below.
