Philly’s Boot & Saddle venue was recently treated to a blistering night of hardcore punk as Dropdead, Fucking Invincible, V-Sekt, and Dying lit up the stage.
Rhode Island’s political punk mainstays, Dropdead continue to uphold a legacy of unrelenting fastcore and scathing real-world lyric focuses having seen of number of split releases over the last few years on the Armageddon Label adding to an already dense discography. Dropdead was joined by their Providence brethren in Fucking Invincible for this run of dates. FI feature DD bassist George Radford on guitar as he is joined by members of Daughters and Soul Control, rounding out this explosive line-up. FI‘s latest full-length, “It’ll Get Worse Before It Gets Better” sent shockwaves through the hardcore punk underground, and rightfully so. Fans of Look Back And Laugh and Talk Is Poison should find a lot to love here. The bill was rounded out by Rhode Island’s V-sekt and Philly’s own caustic vegan straightedge unit, Dying.
