Philadelphia Noise-rock outfit Fight Amp have re-emerged with new show announcements as February will include a Brooklyn, NY performance with Brutal Panda Records label-mates, Whores. A hometown show in support of noise-rock supergroup UXO (featuring Chris Spencer of Unsane + Steve Austin of Today Is The Day) is also scheduled for later in the month.
In March the group will head to Richmond, VA with Creepoid. With these tour dates also comes news that the band has already written nearly a full-length’s worth of new material. Fight Amp plans to begin the recording process later this year.”
Composed of Mike McGinnis (guitar, vocals), Jon DeHart (bass, vocals) and Dan Smith (drums), Fight Amp plays a sonic brew of noise-rock, sludge, hardcore, grunge and punk.
Last summer the band released the Constantly Off EP (Brutal Panda), which received positive ink from outlets including Stereogum, Noisey and was plastered all over our year-end lists.
Watch the official video of “Ex Everything” (from the Constantly Off EP). On the heels of that was a new 7” for Reptilian Records (as part of their Keystone Noise Series) which received premieres from Metal Injection and Brooklyn Vegan.
Current tour dates listed below with more to be announced in the near future.
