‘Twas a frigid South Philly evening as neighborhood coffee shop/art gallery/venue, The Pharmacy played host to an electric gathering of talents including hometown heroes Future/Primitive along with Spent Flash, Drug Store, and Severed.
With a sludge-laden blend of crust rock and watches set strictly on punk-rock-time, Severed set a late evening into motion with a solid performance that got heads in the game on the quick. Drug Store followed up and proceeded to supply the grunge rock selections before Future/Primitive just knocked it out of the park. The ruckus was official brought-en, as rowdy heads proceeded to decimate lights and cause looks of panic on distressed shop managers’ faces. No worse for the wear, Future/Primitive, who feature members of such mainstays as Thelsa Doom and Phobia, continued to rip-roar through the mayhem. Described as “melodic and dark hardcore punk”, Future Primitive is currently supporting a self-titled 12″ available for stream below with links for purchase. Philly’s own noisy punk rockers in Spent Flesh rounded out the bill with an energetic set that bellowed over the smoldering rumble of what and whom remained.
