The second installment of the annual Keystone Hardcore Jam launched into a blistering day 1 at Reading’s Reverb venue with headliners Comeback Kid supported by a varied cast of talents hailing from all corners of the continent as Backtrack, Xibalba, Downpresser, Manipulate, and Time Bomb collectively put in one for the books.
The Keystone Hardcore Jam II proved to be a perfect launch pad for Comeback Kid‘s latest and fifth overall full-length, Die Knowing, that officially hit streets via longtime label Victory Records just a few days following their heartfelt headlining performance. Now over decade strong, Die Knowing is pulling in strong reviews with PunkNews.org commenting on the effort saying, “Die Knowing successfully incorporates everything: devastating breakdowns, non-stop intensity, frenetic punk energy, superior technicality and a slew of catchy anthems.” Par for the course, Comeback Kid will continue to tour Europe and North America through May in a series of tours that stretch across dozens of countries.
CBK‘s current tour comrades Backtrack are currently supporting their latest full-length for Bridge Nine Records, Lost In Life, while Xibalba continue to support the Hasta La Muerte LP, released in 2012 by Southern Lord. Xibalba dropped a new music video for “Soledad” released in December of 2013 featuring footage from various tour stops over the course of 2 years. Keystone Hardcore Jam II Day 1 was rounded out by Time Bomb, Manipulate, and Downpresser.
Our resident hardcore photo expert, Staff Photographer Anne Spina (Anne Spina Photography) was on hand to capture the festivies for your viewing pleasure. Stay tuned for Day 2 photos coming soon.
