Brooklyn, New York’ shredmasters, Tombs, recently lit up Philly’s Millcreek Tavern venue along with local destructors Plague Dogs and Sadgiqacea with BTS’s Dante Torrieri on hand to capture the evening in photos for your viewing pleasure.

Tombs have just confirmed Savage Gold as the title of the band’s third album on Relapse Records. The album is set for a June 10th release in North America with the artwork and track listing having been revealed just few days ago. The stunning artwork was created by renowned tattooist Thomas Hooper who has created the band’s previous album covers. The band’s sophomore LP Path Of Totality unanimously topped 2011 end of the year metal lists (everyone from Decibel to Pitchfork to NPR, and more, dubbed it their top album of that year).

Recorded and produced by Hate Eternal‘s Erik Rutan (Cannibal Corpse, Goatwhore), Savage Gold both expands upon the moody post-punk foundations that Tombs‘ prior albums explored while also bringing out the band’s most traditionally metal moments yet. In support of Savage Gold, Tombs will hit the road for a West Coast run supporting Pelican. The shows kick off June 12th in San Diego, CA and run through June 19th in Seattle, WA. A complete list of dates can be found here. In addition to their US dates, Tombs will be taking part in the Temples Festival at Motion in Bristol, UK on May 3rd. They will play alongside Neurosis, Conan and Moss.

Concertgoers got a hearty dose of this new material, which prompted a normally stoic Torrieri to comment on the evening as being quote, “perfect.”

Rounded out by the menacing crust ‘n’ rollers in Plague Dogs who continue to prepare a highly anticipated debut full-length, and Sadgiqacea who are preparing for a summer excursion of their own- this bill was true treat for fans of the extreme. Sadgiqacea are currently supporting, False Prism, which is the full-length debut from this Philadelphia-based duo. Produced by Chris Grigg (Woe) and available through Candlelight Records and Anthropic Records, Heavy Planet says, “while destroying everything in their path, Sadgiqacea creates an inspiring assault of devastation. Crushing riffs and ambient beauty swirl as the vocals bark… epic and full-on sludge.”

Enjoy listening samples of all the guilty parties below. Be sure to support and purchase the tunes if you dig them.

Last October, Torrieri had the pleasure of joining Sadgiqacea for tour immersion piece as the band made a week-long trek to the 2013 Indianapolis Metal Fest along with Heathen. Be sure to scope all of the exclusive photos here.

Without further ado, enjoy a fresh batch of exclusive photos from Blow The Scenes‘s Senior Photographer Dante Torrieri (Useless Rebel Imaging).
