When Philadelphia’s premiere hardcore show promoter, Mr. Joe Hardcore, throws a hardcore birthday bash, you know things are about to get wild.
James and I stopped by Joe’s Bday bash at The Broad St Ministries on July 9, 2011, featuring both local/regional up-and-comers and renowned national touring acts for a great mix of hardcore music that found Philly friends and fans as energized and enthused as ever.
Philly’s notorious July-heat and humidity let its presence be known from the onset, as all of us who attended burned some serious calories and water-weight. The heat did not slow down the bands or the attendees who turned the dance floor into barrage of windmills and pile-ons throughout the evening. Philly Hardcore Shows FTW!
Listening samples and/or links can be found of all bands below, so if you dig them be sure to add them on the ol’ FB and spread the love.
We’ll be breaking off an exclusive interview with Joe in the coming weeks, as we continue our unwavering photo coverage of some of the best shows on the East Coast.
We know you’re here for the visuals and not my rambling, so without further ado, here is the show in pictures!
