Philadelphia’s gargantuan annual gathering of hardcore enthusiasts, This Is Hardcore Fest, launched into Day 1 with a bang at the iconic The Electric Factory venue grounds as Ringworm, Code Orange Kids, Xibalba, Noisem, Expire, Lifeless and Rock Bottom set things off. Still to come later this evening are Overcast, Crowbar, Unearth, and Killswitch Engage.
Thousands of fans have poured in from all corners of the globe as a wide of array of vendors and charity organizations set up shop across the venue grounds. A few featured below include Pinups for Pitbulls, The Humane League, Shirts For a Cure and more. The food trucks set up shop and bands fired away, marking the first TIH to be held in July, bumped up a couple weeks on the calendar from years past.
We introduced the first Blow The Scene / TIH photo-booth this year and now the cats officially out of the bag… Be sure to stop by and see Dante Torrieri at his Useless Rebel Imaging booth for your TIH booth shots.
Without further ado, enjoy the first round of candid shots from Day 1. More candids coming late tonight from Day 1, plus our resident hardcore photo expert Anne Spina may share a few early band shots from stage! Stay tuned. We’ll be updating live all week! Keep up with all the breaking action HERE.
