It’s just about that time of year when Philadelphia becomes the epicenter of hardcore music as thousands of fans and band members ascend upon The Electric Factory for the annual, This Is Hardcore Fest. Now entering its 9th year of highly-renowned feature performances, the 2014 line-up will surely prove a classic one, seeing Converge, Killswitch Engage, Nails, Turmoil, Downset, The Explosion, Dropdead, Title Fight, Madball, Unearth, 100 Demons, Code Orange, Noisem, and scores of others from around the globe hit stage between Thursday, July 24th and Sunday, July 27th.
As in years past, BlowTheScene.com staffers will be on hand capturing over 100 performing acts and countless candid shots from the festival grounds highlighting the radical assortment of bands, fans, TIH working crew members, food vendors, distros, important animal and social causes, and more! For the uninitiated, the TIH stomping grounds provide a unique atmosphere where aggressive music enthusiasts from all over the world come together and celebrate all aspects of this rich and varied music community. TIH vendors and booths feature an eclectic array of goods and the opportunity to take part in great social causes for both humans and animals. The Electric Factory opens up its grounds to cover almost the entire block and surrounding lots. There is a lot to get lost in. Always some amazing record cops and merch grabs to be had.
