Colorado’s grinding hardcore cult Call Of The Void recently crashed through Philly’s Kung Fu Necktie venue with locals Ten Ton Hammer and Hell To Pay as the band promotes a forthcoming EP release, AYFKM, set to hit streets in December via Translation Loss Records.
Recorded, mixed and mastered by Dave Otero at Flatline Audio and featuring the amazing artwork of Jef Kopp, AYFKM (“Are you Fucking Kidding Me”) is comprised of the best material that Call Of The Void has written to date. The band recently premiered a new song ‘Throwing Bullets’ via CLRVYNT.com that can be streamed below fold.
CLRVNT commented on the effort stating, “Call of the Void have a question for the viewers at home: Are you fucking kidding me? I don’t blame the sludgy Denver crew for asking. Between the ambulatory Cheeto running for national office, the pair of EDM frat bros presiding over the Billboard Hot 100, and the mob of folks eager to roast Kim Kardashian, a mother of two, for being held at fucking gunpoint, America’s march towards inanity has only quickened over the past several months. God help us all. At some point, you’ve got to throw your hands up and ask yourself the aforementioned question — or, in the case of Call of the Void, make a whole EP out of it: AYFKM, the band’s first new material since last year’s Ageless LP. Arriving December 16 via Translation Loss, the five-track release offers a potent dose of the ground-up goodness fans have come to expect, with ample nods to Converge and Pig Destroyer (two major influences on the collection, according to the press release).”
