One of our all-time favorites, Belgium’s Rise and Fall are gearing up for a European Tour kicking off November 19 in Essen Germany with supporting bands Nails and Harm’s Way, for what promises to be one of the best underground tours of the 2010 Fall season.
Rise and Fall are touring in support of their latest release on Deathwishinc, Our Circle Is Vicious, which saw a worldwide release in 2009 that cemented Rise and Fall’s place amongst the top hardcore punk bands in the world. Infusing subtly haunting guitar melodies amidst pummeling hardcore riffs and drumming with a high-octane, emotionally-charged vocal presence, Rise and Fall have seen successful tours with the likes of Converge, Integrity, Coliseum, The Hope Conspiracy, Ceremony and other leading punk and hardcore bands from around the world. Rise and Fall continue to streamline their incredible live presence as was apparent at this year’s Groezrock 2010 Fest which is featured below.
Haling from Southern California, Nails will be bringing their trademark grind-infused hardcore in support of their latest recorded effort Unsilent Death on Six Feet Under Records. MetalUnderground summed up this CD best by stating, “The only possible way to describe the breathless brutality of Nails’ Unsilent Death is by giving a visual example. Imagine a horrific car accident, with metal and glass strewn everywhere, and bodies lying on the pavement. Now imagine a train coming through and crashing into the pile-up. Now imagine that train blowing up and toppling a near-by building. Now imagine that building falling onto a school bus full of children. Squeeze that mayhem and panic into fifteen minutes on a plastic disc and that, ladies and gentlemen, is Unsilent Death.” We could not say it any better. Europe, you’ve been warned.
Chicago’s Harm’s Way will also be on the docket with their brutal hardcore mix that throws back to hardcore mainstays Integrity and Marauder. The band’s latest 7″ No Gods No Master is available through Closed Casket Activities
We wanted to give a shoutout to a great band that will be featured on the Nov 26 show only..Germany’s female-fronted, energetic, hardcore punk quartet, Glasses will be opening the tour in Münster, Germany in support of their forthcoming full-length on Vendetta Records, “The Ills of Life” which follows the successful release of split 7″ with COMADRE earlier this year. Vendetta hit the nail on the head by saying this about the band; “Glasses delivers the most pulverizing, rock ‘n’ roll-ing-est hardcore that has ever been played in drop-C tuning.”
