Dubbed The Big Faux 4, the ultimate cover-band experience headed by Philly-based, all-girl, Metallica cover band, Misstallica, tore through Philadelphia’s TLA along with tributes to Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeth by Show No Mercy, Thunderbox, and Peace Sells respectively.
For Metallica fans, Misstallica may be the best current embodiment of a thrash sound that has escaped even the originators in recent years. This juggernaut of a tribute band takes a predominant amount of material from Metallica‘s first four albums, including Kill ‘Em All, Ride The Lightning, Master of Puppets and ..And Justice For All, which are considered by many to be Metallica‘s definitive contributions to metal. Misstallica rip through these covers with a speed and flair that takes us back to glory days of metal, long before the Black album and subsequent musical crimes were perpetrated by one metal’s most prominent pioneers.
This package was pure fun and truly without a weak cog. All of the bands put in grade A cover performances of the biggest names in metal that a packed house of music enthusiast devoured without coming up for air.
