Blow The Scene’s Senior Photographer Dante Torrieri was recently invited to Psycho Las Vegas Festival where he captured a plethora of rad photos for our viewing pleasure. Below you will find a quick highlight run of several of the performers. We’ll be uploading the extended gallery to our official Flickr page in the weeks that come so be sure to stay tuned.
Torrieri commented on the experience stating:
“Psycho Las Vegas was a magical time, a Rock and roll adventure of epic proportions that most people would equate to a pipe dream. Yet somehow, against all the odds- It was real. This brilliantly curated Rock and roll throwdown saw sets from many of our heroes. Alice Cooper, Blue Oyster Cult and of course the almighty Crazy World Of Arthur Brown. Not to mention underground gems like Subrosa and Chrch. Everything you could have wanted in a Rock festival was there – and more.
The three stages of the festival included the intimate Vinyl room, the massive Joint stage, and the mythic Paradise Pool. Each had their own individual charm. The Vinyl room allowed for a large club experience which was exciting, especially for some of the smaller bands on the fest. The Joint stage was perfect for bands like Elder and Subrosa who don’t yet have the draw to play quasi-arenas, but do very well on the big stage. As for the Paradise Pool.. well… getting to watch Acid King while lounging in a pool in your underwear is kind of the greatest thing I’ve ever done, so might as well embrace it! With rumors of a 2017 edition already forming I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this, perhaps the greatest American Rock festival since Woodstock.”
