Punch, Bay Area’s premiere, lighting-fast, hardcore-quintet, who combine intelligent song structures and pulverizing vocals, graced Philadelphians with a stellar performance at The Barbary on August 19. Joined by touring mates, Loma Prieta, who combine elements of post hardcore with blistering screamo, the bands delivered emotional and energetic sets that translated into a raucous crowd who swooned over every distorted chord. Foreign Objects and local d-beat band Stockpile, stepped up with equally impassioned performances to set the stage for an excellent evening of aggressive tunes. Dante Torrieri of Useless Rebel Imaging was there to capture the show in pictures, so without further ado..
