This Is Hardcore Fest 2012 Day 4 Bands In Photos

The fourth and final day of This Is Hardcore Fest 2012 found thousands of concertgoers still riding strong after being ripped up one side and down the other with an almost constant barrage of incredible performances. The Electric Factory grounds would again play host to a wide range of record labels, vendors, and personalities, with Sunday highlights including a visit from Philly vegan eatery Hip City Veg and the hardcore whale saving crew, Sea Shepherd. The knuckledraggers wasted no time opening up the floor shortly after noon as the crowd steadily grew and the temperature rose. Lots of mainland heroes were met by bands that flew in from the UK, Belgium, and various corners of the world to offer a proper showcase of talent for these closing ceremonies. Once again, while the majority of Blow The Scene‘s staff was busy collecting candid shots of the festival grounds, Anne Spina of Anne Spina Photography was onstage collecting a massive set of band photos for your viewing pleasure.

The Electric Factory staff tightened up on the stage antics but were unable to deter the energy of one of the East Coast’s greatest gatherings of hardcore enthusiasts. Despite the excitement and sheer exhaustion, it was hard not to taste the bitter-sweetness- knowing an insane 4 day run was coming to a close until next year. TIH founder and organizer Joe Hardcore once again kept up an insane pace overseeing almost every aspect of the festival with help from his Philly Hardcore Shows booking group. Even with our office being right next to the hardcore guru’s, I don’t think we saw Joe for more than 3 minutes throughout the day. Philadelphia’s Blacklisted punctuated an emotional round of performances with a set that proved to be a more than a fitting closer to the weekend. The crowd found a final wind and put in a gargantuan amount of energy to match that of Blacklisted‘s set. The sheer heat from fans created the illusion of smoke machines as the muggy air met that of the air-conditioning above stage. It’s not everyday one gets to see thousands of hardcore fans smiling, throwing fists, stage diving, head-walking, singing-along, and hobnobbing with fellow enthusiasts from all corners of the globe.
