Kingston PA’s Title Fight have become regulars here at Blow The Scene with their infectious blend of hardcore and pop punk that saw a whirlwind year for the band in 2011. Still riding off of the success of their first full-length LP Shed, produced by Walter Schreifels (of Gorilla Biscuits/Quicksand/Rival Schools) with a #8 debut on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart last year, Title Fight were joined last Saturday by Pianos Become the Teeth, Self Defense Family, and Halfling for a raucous hometown crowd at Wilkes-Barre’s Redwood Art Space.
We recently caught up with Title Fight for a sit down interview during their Alternative Press Tour 2011 with Gallows and Four Year Strong. April is looking like another big month for Title Fight as they have a slew of dates with scene mainstays Rise Against on US soil.
Co-headliners, Pianos Become the Teeth have also been riding a wave of momentum surrounded by the release of their latest album The Lack Long After, which hit streets via Topshelf Records last November. The band leaves for a Northeast Tour with Xerxes today before joining Converge for a handful of dates in March
Saturday’s bill was rounded out by Self Defense Family (formerly End of a Year and End of a Year Self Defense Family) and Halfling, as the incredibly talented Anne Spina of Anne Spina Photography was on hand to capture the show in pictures for your viewing pleasure.
