Our third installment of Philly House Shows takes us to west Philly and into the basement of the Unholy Trinity House. On Sat. April 16th I ventured out into the monsoon to photograph Casket, Life Less, and Cop Problem as part of Cop Problems Demo Release tour.
My journalistic integrity forces me to mention that the drummer for Cop Problem is, in fact, BTS editor in chief Joshua.
I arrived a few minutes before 6:00 to get a lay of the land and acclimate myself to the surroundings. Turns out that the flyer which said 6 was in punk rock time. I took advantage of my extra hour to get to know Sean, Greg and Woody a bit.
Sean and Greg were steadfastly organizing “the Works” a race that will be held on May 14th to benefit “Neighborhood Bike Works” with a kick ass afterparty to be held at Danger! Danger! Gallery. Neighborhood Bike Works is a innovative company that does a lot for our communities. Meanwhile Woody was having a grand ol’ time programing a full size arcade game that refused to behave. It was one of 3 full size arcade cabinets in the process of being rebuilt. The eclectic mix of computer chips and bicycle parts was inspiring.
Lightening crashed, winds howled and heavy rain poured down as the bands set up and prepared for the nights festivities.
But you didn’t come here for the ambiance, you came for the hardcore music and photos.
First up was a late added “Fuck Attack” a south Philly hardcore grimy punk band.
Up next Casket – a death metal band hailing from Jersey.

Less Life – A New Brunswick hardcore punk band with a quick wit and biting lyrics.
