Antillectual will be supporting Boy Sets Fire on their European reunion tour. The punk trio will be playing a total of 16 shows (06/14 – 07/01) across Europe with the newly reformed hardcore band.
Additionally, Antillectual is touring extensively on its own this Spring and well into Summer. An ten-day tour of Italy begins tomorrow and the band will spend a week in Russia at the end of April. Plenty of other dates scattered throughout as well, including shows with Iron Chic, Bouncing Souls, Polar Bear Club and One Win Choice. Given the band’s tireless work ethic, It should be no surprise; Antillectual has spent the majority of the last few months touring the world in support of its incredible new full-length, Start From Scratch.
A truly collaborative effort, Start From Scratch was released in late 2010 on LP and CD (Europe only) by ten different labels: Angry Chuck Records (Russia), Destiny Records (Germany / Austria / Switzerland), Discos Rayados (Spain), Effervescence Records (France), Infected Records (Portugal), Lockjaw Records (UK), Shield Recordings (Benelux), No Reason Records (Italy), 5 Feet Under Records (Denmark) and Square Of Opposition in the States.

Unquestionably the trio’s most accomplished record to date, Start From Scratch is firmly rooted in the combustible, dynamic punk of the 90s skate scene while incorporating in hints of modern emo, orgcore and even metal. Most strikingly though is how Antillectual has dialed up the unforgettable choruses and infectious melodies exponentially, cranking out twelve passionate, socially and politically charged burners that might be the most addictive songs you’ll year all year. Just as importantly, Start From Scratch is a varied, thoughtfully crafted effort; it frames a band skillfully maturing with age yet holding on to the fervor and fire that made the members pick up instruments and start playing punk rock in the first place.
