Brooklyn-based black metal revelers Mutilation Rites, and Nihilistic earthmovers, Full Of Hell, have just announced a series of February co-headlining dates. The two-week jaunt will kick off in Richmond, VA on Feb. 15 and conclude in Mutilation Rite‘s hometown of NYC on Feb. 28.
Described as “urban, quick-pulsed USBM that feels stately and epic, but booze-soaked and feral” (Pitchfork), Mutilation Rites recently confirmed their participation in this year’s Maryland Death Fest alongside the likes of Gorguts, Immolation, and Candlemass. Known for their DIY work ethic and relentless tours of the underground circuit, the band has recently shared the staged with the likes of Skeletonwitch, Eyehategod, Inter Arma, Cannibal Corpse, Napalm Death and Origin in addition to appearing at several prestigious festivals including South By Southwest and the New England Metal & Hardcore Festival. Following the tour, the band will return to the studio to record their second full-length album, the follow-up to the acclaimed Empyrean (named one of Decibel’s Top 40 releases of 2012). Mass fan and media acclaim for Full Of Hell‘s intense style of blast-laden, noise-infused, downtuned metallic insanity and the unrelenting live energy of both the band and their manic audience while on a nearly nonstop tour warpath has been published over the past year and a half, following live missions with Integrity, Code Orange Kids, Noisem, KEN Mode and countless others. Preceding the new tour, Full Of Hell will take Baltimore by storm alongside an incredible lineup of bands at the A389 Recordings ten-year anniversary bash. With a sideshow on Thursday, January 16th, the first event on Friday the 17th, and both a second sideshow and main event on Saturday the 18th, the monumental event will see Full Of Hell joining Integrity (Systems Overload lineup reunion), All Out War, a one-time Bloodlet reunion, Weekend Nachos, Noisem, Power Trip, Empire of Rats, In Cold Blood, Infest, Iron Reagan, Haymaker and a rash of others.
