Oakland punks Nervous have teamed up with longtime champions of horticulture/counterculture, High Times Magazine, to premiere their new song, “Birthday Party”, off the self-titled debut album, out September 24th on Twelve Gauge Records.
Of Nervous‘ debut, High Times reports: “10 trax of wrathful, angular punk in the mold of early-90s noizemongers Jesus Lizard, the almighty Nirvana, etc.” A full review of the album also appears in High Times’ December issue, on newsstands in October.
A recent review from Terrorizer Magazine calls Nervous, “paranoid punk rock, not unlike The Jesus Lizard covering ‘My War’-era Black Flag.”
Nervous was recorded and mixed by Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Loma Prieta) and mastered by Alan Douches (Converge, Baroness).
Pre-order the album on vinyl, along with Nervous‘ “420” shirt.
Stay tuned, BTS will be catching up with boys very soon for an exclusive interview!
