The new video was released yesterday on what would have been the late MP’s 42nd birthday. Cox, the Labour MP for Batley and Spen, was slain last Thursday outside Birstall public library and was declared dead less than one hour after being shot three times and repeatedly stabbed. A 77 year-old man was also stabbed trying to stop the attack. Cox leaves behind a loving husband and children.
Portishead‘s video carries the hashtag #MoreInCommon, in reference to Cox’s now celebrated beliefs.
Jo Cox is widely held amongst supports and political opponents as is someone who got elected to help make the world a better place. Cox supported the Syrian refugees, was a positive voice on immigration, and held that Britain should remain in Europe during the Brexit votes. She was a proponent of diverse society and is deeply admired by her constituents and supporters.
