Queens of the Stone Age will be releasing its sixth studio album entitled Like Clockwork in June on Matador Records (Ceremony, Fucked Up). You can preview snippets from the forthcoming release by visiting the band’s website and clicking refresh repeatedly.

The band’s last studio effort, 2007’s Era Vulgaris, along with previous efforts were released on Interscope. The departure from the long-time label is not the only curveball fans should expect on this forthcoming effort.

Dave Grolh (Foo Fighters, Nirvana), who returned to drum on the Like Clockwork sessions, was joined by cast of guest appearances that included Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), Elton John, and Jake Shears. However, it has been confirmed that Grohl will not tour with QOTSA in support of the album. Two former QOTSA members, Mark Lanegan and bassist/vocalist Nick Oliveri have also returned to the fold.

More details and tour dates are expected to be announced soon.
