The organizers of the Scream It Like You Mean It 2012 tour tried something we’ve not seen come across our desk in a long while. Rather than just having 1 tour line-up, Scream It Like You Mean It 2012 is actually 2 tours crisscrossing each other across the US and meeting up in select cities and dates for combined shows. The graphic below details this unique tour routing.
Philadelphia’s Trocadero had the honors of hosting the single “blue tour” featuring The Acacia Strain, Oceano, The Chariot, In Fear And Faith, For All Those Sleeping, Volumes, and Hands Like Houses.
A predominantly young audience of teens and early 20-somethings packed the Trocadero and swooned over a barrage of performances that kicked off early in the afternoon and ran late into the evening.
All of the headlining bands have been keeping busy with new releases on the horizon with enthused fans getting a chance to sample new tunes for the first time. The Acacia Strain released a digital version of a new song titled “Servant in the Place of Truth” in April from an untitled forthcoming record due out this fall on Rise Records.
The Chariot, who can be credited with the standout performance of the tour, recently posted a new YouTube video with studio footage of the recording their next album, One Wing. The second half of the video premieres a live recording of new song “Speak”.
Earache Records recording artists Oceano put to rest rumors of disbandment with the announcement of this tour and have reportedly begun work on a forthcoming album slated for an early 2013 release.
Our ever-talented Senior Staff Photographer, Dante Torrieri, of Useless Rebel Imaging was on hand to deliver a gargantuan 120+ picture gallery for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy.
