Trapped Under Ice, Hundredth, Backtrack, Betrayal, Take Offense at Redwood

Chula Vista, CA’s Take Offense kicked off the evening in support of their latest LP, Tables Will Turn on Reaper Records. Take Offense deleiver a hearty blend of hardcore, punk, with a tinge of thrash that got the floor moving early in the evening. Mediaskare recording artists, Betrayal brought their trademark blend of double-bass-ridden, metallic hardcore that saw the tempature continue to rise on the dance floor. Long Island’s Backtrack swunge into action with their New York flava in full effect. The band is also supporting a forthcoming release on Reaper Records, Darker Half, hitting streets October 25. South Carolina’s melodic hardcore practicioners, Hundredth, took to the stage brooding with energy and played a tight set in support their current release on Mediaskare, Let Go, which has seen the band achieve a mass level of success with a blend of melody and hardcore that is accessible to various circles music fans. Baltimore’s Trapped Under Ice closed the night out with a set you would expect from these scene mainstays who have been touring relentlessly with no end in sight. Their latest release, Big Kiss Goodnight, has been received with open arms from adoring fans as they continue to rip through hardcore venues throughout the US. Hardcore music lovers were treated a solid line-up of mainstays and up-and-comers this past Saturday, as Trapped Under Ice, Hundredth, Backtrack, Betrayal, and Take Offense ripped through Redwood Art Space in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
