Local Spotlight: The Beagle Brothers drop New Record in Pittsburgh
By admin + Published Friday, December 3rd, 2010 at 8:20 pm
In this edition of local spotlight we take a journey to Southwestern PA and land in one of our favorite US cities; Pittsburgh. Yinz dig? Pittsburgh alt-country quintet The Beagle Brothers are set to put out their 4th record, Architects of the Bloomfield Sound, at their CD Release Party this Saturday, December 4th at Sonny’s Tavern (630 S. Millvale Ave in Bloomfield) at 9:30pm. They have gathered a strong following, especially after opening for the legendary David Allan Coe this past July. Their brand of alt-country features a combination of old-timey folk staples such as vocal harmonies and dobro guitar combined with a modern pop sensibility. You can hear recently uploaded preview cuts off of the new record (as well as some of their older material) at the official Beagle Brothers Myspace. There is no cover, and the CD will be available for $10. It was recorded, mixed and mastered by Grammy Award Winner Dino Gabriel DiStefano (Count Basie Orchestra w/ the New York Voices, Highway 13, The Cynics). Tracklisting: All Songs by the Beagle Brothers except for: The Beagle Brothers are: Gabriel Smith – Lead Vocals, Acoustic Guitar Related posts: Tags: David Allan Coe, Dino Gabriel DiStefano, Gram Parsons, Local Spotlight, Spotlight, The Beagle Brothers
