Grindcore champs Pig Destroyer will be hitting the road this summer for a handful of festivals this including GWAR-B-Q, Hopscotch Fest (with label-mates Inter Arma and ASG), Basillica Soundscape in Hudson, NY and the Housecore Horror Film Fest in Austin, TX. The undisputed kings of grindcore Pig Destroyer have announced select European shows for this coming May and June. A complete list of dates including European Festival appearances can be found below.
Additionally Pig Destroyer will be taking part in this year's Maryland Death Fest scheduled for May 23rd - 26th. The band will also be a part of the 4th Annual GWAR-B-Q in Richmond, VA on August 17th. Pig Destroyer will be performing alongside GWAR, Municipal Waste, COC and many more.

Grindcore masters Pig Destroyer have released a never before heard EP entitled Mass & Volume. This EP is dedicated to the memory of Pat Egan and to the loving family he left behind. The EP is a doom EP and the artwork was created by Arik Roper. The EP is available for purchase at http://patlapse.bandcamp.com/album/mass-volume. Reigning grindcore champions Pig Destroyer are less than a month away from the release of Book Burner. The band's razor-sharp fifth-full length and first album in over five years was recorded at guitarist Scott Hull's Visceral Sound Studios and has already been described by MetalSucks as "the best metal album of the year".

If you've been following Pig Destroyer closely, today's breaking news should be no surprise- Pig Destroyer have entered the studio to record a new LP to be released in 2012 via Relapse Records. This will mark the band's first new full-length since 2007's Phantom Limb. Last year, we caught wind from Wormrot singer, Arif Rot, that he had just completed "artwork" for Pig Destroyer, presumably for this forthcoming album.
