Sick Of It All, Trapped Under Ice, Hundredth Photo Gallery
Per Philly Hardcore Shows protocol, the bill was rounded out by several opening acts including Trapped Under Ice, Hundredth, Take Offense, Betrayal, and Backtrack, ensuring fans got more than their money’s worth. Trapped Under Ice are quickly becoming Philly veterans as the this show marked the band’s third area performance since summer. The band continues to sharpen their attack as they continue to rise to the forefront of the hardcore scene in support of their most recent release, Big Kiss Goodnight, which dropped on Good Fight Music last month. If you missed it, we were on hand for the band’s hometown release in Baltimore for yet another killer photo session. We have something special for you today. On occasion we have more than one photographer covering a show and it just so happened that two of our premiere photographers, Dante Torrieri and Anne Spina, were on hand to deliver one of our largest photo galleries to date. NYC’s Sick Of It All and co-headliners Trapped Under Ice brought the thunder to Philadelphia on Thanksgiving eve as fans surely worked up hearty appetites with a barrage of pile-ons, stage-dives, aggro and posi mosh, and all of the extra-curricular activity we’ve come to expect from Philly’s local and regional scene supporters. Sick Of It All, who are currently celebrating their 25th anniversary with the release of the newest LP on Century Media, NONSTOP. This latest studio effort features a laundry list of re-recorded classic material. Long-time fans couldn’t ask for much more, as the band played a solid grip of old-school tunes and sprinkled in a few new fan favorites for good measure. There was no ebb and flow about it- the energy was frenetic and infectious as waves of fans would crush against the stage to sing along to their favorite songs throughout the performance.
