LCD Soundsystem mastermind James Murphy announced that last night's performance on the "Colbert Report" would be his band's last appearance on television. Mock news demigod Stephen Colbert asked him why he was walking away at the height of popularity - to which Murphy responded: "It seems like the right thing to do. I'm 41. At a certain point, I think it gets embarrassing."

LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip have been tearing it up on the road together all over Europe. The DFA label mates released a live double LP last week and are keeping fans a-buzz with this new live video of the two pop acts collaborating on Alessi Brothers' "Seabird," to close out the show at the Manchester Apollo on the 15th of November.

For someone who hails from the very epitome of small-town America, James Murphy is extremely partial to a very English insult. Particularly when it's a self-deprecating one.
