Last week, we at BTS were turned onto this Atlanta quintet, the Booze, with their 60s mod sound that is compellingly poignant and downright tasty. We premiered track "Kick Me Where It Hurts" earlier in the week and just caught up with the Booze guitarist/songwriter Randy Michael for an exclusive interview as the band prepares release their latest full-length At Maximum Volume via Underrated Records Feb 22.

Underrated Records just sent over an MP3 of The Booze's new song "Kick Me Where It Hurts" for BTS readers around the World!
This gang of dudes from Atlanta nail the early 60s R&B/Mod sound like they opened up a frickin' time warp. We're talking major Jagger swagger (bad teeth and all). Like any great band that nods to the past, they def put their own spin on things. They have toured the US (including an opening slot on a recent OK Go tour) and have a west coast tour and SXSW gigs coming up.
