Chelsea-Wolfe L.A. singer-songwriter Chelsea Wolfe recently brought her experimental, blackened-folk expressions to Philly's Union Transfer venue as part of a national US tour with True Widow. Chelsea Wolfe is currently supporting a new release, Pain Is Beauty on Sargent House, which hit streets earlier in September. Her fourth full-length album has seen almost universal critical acclaim. A Pitchfork review described Pain as being, 'Emotionally exhausting in equally mad and enjoyable ways, lasting nearly an hour across 12 twilight tracks of aggressive crescendos, poised reprieves, and suspended drama.'
