In celebration of the massive success behind their latest single “Machine Gun Blues,” rock ‘n’ roll icons Social Distortion and Epitaph Records have partnered up with radio stations across the country to throw an exclusive red carpet premiere event for the single’s cinematic short film debut and they’re letting the fans choose which city. Beginning today, fans are invited to visit www.socialdistortion.com to share the film’s breathtaking trailer via Facebook or Twitter as many times possible. The city with the most shares will win a free red carpet short film premiere and secret performance from the band. Social Distortion is also rewarding top sharers and fans of radio stations across the country with over 40 fly away trips to the winning city to experience the event. The winning city will be selected on April 13; head to Socialdistortion.com on that day for more details on how to get tickets and enter to win the fly aways! Additionally, the event will be streamed live for fans around the world on participating radio station websites night of the event. Set to the scene of a 1930’s bank robbery, “Machine Gun Blues” finds gangster outlaws Social Distortion on the run from the Feds following an epic heist worthy of Public Enemy and White Heat. Beautifully shot at the famous Union Station in downtown Los Angeles and surrounding areas, cameras roll on the band of thieves as they’re chased through dusty roads leading to their hideout for a final showdown with the G-men. Fans are encouraged to call their local radio station and request “Machine Gun Blues” to be played if their local station isn’t among the participating partners.
