Southern Lord has kicked off one of the best US summer tour packages with Black Breath, Martyrdöd, Burning Love, Enabler and select special guests currently making their way across the US. All of these eclectic artists are supporting new and forthcoming material on Southern Lord Recordings.

We recently caught up with Burning Love vocalist Chris Colohan, as the band has just dropped new album, Rotten Thing to Say, on Southern Lord Recordings on June 19th. Having built a cult-like following with Canadian mainstay's Cursed, Colohan has forged a new chapter in his musical career with with the dirty hardcore-laced, punk 'n' roll practitioners, Burning Love. Seattle's blackened crust troopers Black Breath have just announced first ever tour dates in Mexico and Japan to follow the highly anticipated headlining run on the Southern Lord Summer 2012 Label Package Tour with Burning Love, Martyrdod, and Enabler. Broad Street Ministry was packed for Saturday's Converge show. The energy was intense and the heat and humidity amplified the overall weight of the aggressive hardcore show.
With songs raging about bad breeding practices, living in unsustainable debt, systems set up to keep the rich in power and poor eating each other. Philadelphia's youth relieved their everyday frustrations with the world. Commiserating with their fellow citizens this past weekend was exactly what was needed.
