Erykah Badu has teamed up with producer turned director Flying Lotus for a new music video for song "Gone Baby, Don't Be Long" with added visual efforts from Beeple and Vince Ream to create a classy, galactic journey into a mind of Hip Hop's leading artist.
"Gone Baby, Don't Be Long" follows the controversial video release for "Window Seat" which featured Badu stripping off all of her clothing in a symbolic walk through Dealey Plaza in Dallas, the location where JFK was assassinated in November 1963.

The buzz meter has officially entered the red zone for Erykah Badu as New Amerykah, Part Two: Return of the Ankh hits the street today. The hype surrounding this album started its upward trajectory when Badu released her Web-only single “Jump up in the Air (Stay There)” featuring Lil’ Wayne on her website in January. Long-time Badu fans had mixed feelings about the duo to say the least. The blogesphere saw debates carry on for weeks as to whether or not this was a good pairing. In an effort to maintain artistic control over her music, Badu decided to drop the track from the record entirely.
We have a double dose of Erykah Badu to start the day. Above, get lost in the incredible, detailed, and attention grabbing official artwork for New Amerykah Part Two: Return of The Ankh. The cover was designed by Emek, who as you can probably tell designed her last cover, as well. Erykah also picked the perfect song to leak to aid the visual experience this cover creates, with the Madlib produced track "Strawberry Incense" (Kristen Agnesta on harp).Read More

The music world has been abuzz since Badu's appearance last week on Jimmy Fallon's Show where she performed the first single "Window Seat" from her forthcoming LP "New Amerykah, Part II: Return Of The Ankh" will be released on Tuesday, March 30, as a follow-up to Part 1 in 2008.
There is perhaps one story that explains Erykah Badu’s cyclical outlook on her new album, New Amerykah Part Two: Return Of The Ankh, and it involves a visit to a Santeria priest in Cuba in 1999. Dressed for the occasion, Badu wore an all-white dress and, despite the humid weather, her signature towering head wrap. As she sat on the dusty sidewalk waiting to enter the house of Ifa, a young man who could best be described as curious looking barreled down next to her, popped open a can of beer, lit a cigarette, and began making small talk to another guy who Badu assumed was also waiting for a reading. Soon ...
